Following the Leicester riots in September 2022, the United Kingdom Indian Muslim Council (UK-IMC), along with 200 other Muslim organisations, has decided not to engage with the government-led inquiry into the riots due to deep concerns over the choice of Chair and his previous Islamophobic remarks. Instead, we have undertaken a separate independent inquiry into the causes of the serious unrest in the city.

We have collected hundreds of incidents that seriously impacted the Muslim community in Leicester, which would have otherwise gone unreported. The report, prepared by UK-IMC and CPF (Community Policy Forum) is now ready to read. Click here to download it.
